At The Flower Press, we share stories about people and flowers. About how flowers tell our stories, and we tell theirs. About how flowers show up for us at both our finest — and darkest hours. About our obsession and devotion for the rare and the ordinary alike. About the strange, true, and beautiful histories of love and loss that flowers lay at the foot of. About how a dining table just feels better with a vase of fresh cut flowers on it.
Specifically, this is a site for and about the Northern Colorado flower community — a place to collect and share the special stories that exist within the world of our local gardens, farms, shops, towns, and homes. Just like each western flower has its own story, so does each grower, trend, season, designer, and consumer.
I’m Lauren Morgan. I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1996 and never left. For over 30 years, I’ve devoted my passion and purpose to flowering here — working at nursery centers, estate gardening, running a cut flower farm, arranging for shops, and freelance designing. Through it all, I’ve learned just as much about people and our relationship with flowers as I have about the flowers themselves.
